👋 I’m Laurent, building Podcast Generator solo on nights and weekends to help my wife, an English teacher. She used to spend hours hunting for audio clips — now she generates high-quality, natural-sounding lessons in minutes 🎙. Cross-platform, fast, and easy to use. With enough community support (feedback, shares, or coffees ☕), I plan to let users choose between different voice engines, including ElevenLabs, for the style and realism they prefer. 🙏

To give a bit more context: Podcast Generator started as a personal tool to help my wife create custom English audio lessons quickly. She used to spend hours searching for clips that fit her lesson topics and grammar points — often too long, off-topic, or just not suitable for her students.
With Podcast Generator, she can now:
🎙 Assign different voices to speakers in the script for clear, engaging dialogues.
🎧 Produce studio-grade, natural-sounding audio that’s expressive and human-like, making lessons easier to listen to and understand.
⚡ Generate podcasts in minutes, either through the GUI or the command-line interface.
💻 Use it across macOS, Windows, and Linux without hassle.
✨ Customize content so every lesson matches the theme, vocabulary, and grammar level she needs.
Looking ahead, I want to make the app even more flexible: with enough community support (feedback, shares, or even coffees ☕), users will be able to choose between different voice engines, including ElevenLabs, to get the style and realism they prefer. I also plan to properly sign the macOS app so it’s easier to install and use, which requires an Apple Developer license.
This project is all about helping teachers, content creators, and language learners save time and produce engaging audio content — and I’m excited to grow it with the Product Hunt community.
