Hey Product Hunt,
ChatGPT now picks plugins for people, in conversations and in its directory. If you ship one, you need to know why it gets picked or skipped, and OpenAI doesn’t show you.
We track the directory: category pages, search results and every listing. We noticed a few patterns:
• About 3 in 4 top-10 results have the search term in the plugin’s name or tagline. Among apps it’s more than 9 in 10.
• An app that mentions a term only in its description shows up for it in fewer than 1 in 100 searches.
• A typical search returns 10 to 20 plugins, so one missing word keeps you off the list.
We built a report for each of the 5,000+ plugins:
• search positions with a 7-day history
• the plugins competing for the same searches
• searches where competitors rank and the plugin doesn’t
• a listing check against the leaders of its category
Add your plugin and the rivals you watch, and Plugins Radar emails you when one passes you or edits its listing. Topic leaderboards are open to everyone. Sign up free and track a plugin to see its full report.
When a competitor moves, what would you want an alert about first: their rank, their listing, or a new plugin in your searches?
