Plonky lets you upload historical data and generate forecasts in minutes. You can backtest the results, compare outcomes, and iterate quickly without writing code or building complex models. It is designed for operators and analysts who want a practical forecast to inform decisions, not a complicated modeling workflow.
I’m a data analyst and forecasting is something I’ve been asked to do at almost every job I’ve had.
In my experience companies usually forecast in one of three ways:
• Excel or spreadsheets
• Code based approaches in Python or R
• SaaS forecasting tools
Forecasting is as much an art as it is a science. Code based approaches are often the most robust, but the people closest to the business usually are not comfortable writing models or maintaining code. For teams without a data team, or with limited access to one, that option is often out of reach.
That leaves spreadsheets or expensive SaaS tools that require long integrations.
I built Plonky for this gap.
Plonky lets people upload historical data and generate code driven forecasts without writing any code or understanding modeling techniques. You can generate forecasts, backtest them, export results, and quickly iterate in an AI assisted workflow.
The goal is simple. Make forecasting accessible to the people who actually need to make decisions.
