Hi @bramk thanks! Yup. We're trying to make it easier to get players onboard on early stage games and let them provide you valuable feedback before you hit the stores. We're still in very early stage. Today is the first day of beta. The service is available for every studio and player. Let's build the best mobile games together!

@bartjezzz@bramk Really nice, the games within the App are HTML5 or Native?
@calimonk hi! We're supporting iOS Native and HTML5 currently on iPad and iPhone only. We will be adding Android tablet and smartphone as soon as we can.

The registration process on the phone could be a bit improved, you clearly see the sign-up loads a web-view that works but it's not ideal on a touch device. The list of countries was way too long for me personally (I would automatically detect the country and pre-select it based on GeoIP).
After registration was complete there was sort of an inception, with the web-app with games being loaded within the native-app. I had to click 'done' to then login with the account I had just created and was already logged in to, to really get the native app experience.
The experience after that is quite nice however, I like the "shake" option to get the menu back, very well done. I do miss a bit a way of providing feedback to the developer? Isn't that the whole point of the app?
Hi @calimonk. Awesome feedback! Much appreciated. Yes. I know. The on boarding process is something we're improving already. We already have SSO for Facebook, Twitter in place. I think that will be available for the next iOS update and web platform asap. I Guess you started your journey directly from the App? Because signing up on the web platform is at the moment the most easy and fastest method. As for feedback. Yes! We're adding cool features like automatic gameplay recording and instant feedback possibilities.
As someone who used to stand in coffee shops with test builds on my iPhone begging people to play, this looks like another great source of playtesting.
Does Playtest give any sort of usage metrics to see what people are (or aren't) doing in the app or would that fall on the developers to implement?
Thanks for the kudos! @ryan_olsen. For HTML5 we provide pretty advanced metrics. Including automatic screenshots on errors and events. For iOS native we're still working on getting a beautiful in game feedback tool. We want to change the way how feedback is collected by users and making it more than fun to do this. New features available very soon!
@bartjezzz Cool. I'll pass this along to some people I think might be interested. The HTML5 part answers another question I had :)

Awesome design and great idea. Definitely like betalist for games. :)
On an iPhone 5c, so not sure if its different for the iPhone 6/plus but just note there isn't a "forgot password" link at login.
After I selected a game, and got it into "My games", the launch screen gets cut off and only say "To improve this game, we collect screenshots and..." whatever is next gets cut off or was that intentional to move the user to the next screen? A bit confusing.
Also the rate this game is comes up a bit quickly. I left it on the actual game loading screen and it popped up before I even played the game. No way to cancel the rating. Star on the rating are a bit hard to push, maybe make them the touch response a bit bigger or bigger stars.
Also should we expect a lag in touch screen response since we are playing the game inside of the playtest app?
Thanks @keewonma! We've identified these issues and are working on it. As for lag. With in-app games you won't notice a difference. We know how important experience is to studios and players, being a game studio ourselves. So we'll try to keep that to a minimum. Which game did you try?
