Hey, Product Hunt community! 👋 I'm Damir, the maker of Planning Bear. I built this because, like many of you, I've spent way too much time in sprint planning meetings using tools that were clunky, hidden behind a paywall, or just... boring. I wanted to create something my own team would actually enjoy using. The goal was to build the simplest, fastest, and most fun Planning Poker app on the web. What makes Planning Bear different? No More Boring Room Codes: Instead of long, ugly codes, you get fun, memorable names like Crazy-Fox-1234 or Sleepy-Penguin-5678. Completely Free, No Strings Attached: There are no "pro" features or user limits. It's free, period. Privacy-Focused: All session data is automatically deleted after 24 hours. We don't want your data, and you don't have to worry about it. Fully Customizable: Add, remove, and drag-and-drop your estimation cards. Set a synchronized countdown timer to keep discussions on track. This was a passion project, and I'd be thrilled for you to try it out in your next planning session. 🚀 New Features Added: Sprint Planner & Fun Pokes!

A huge thank you for all the support and feedback on the initial launch of Planning Bear. I've been busy working on some of the most requested features, and I'm excited to share two updates that are now live!

📅 New: The Sprint Duration Planner

Ever get to sprint planning and have to manually count workdays on a calendar? Not anymore!

I've added a Sprint Duration Planner right on the main page. You can:

  • Pick a start and end date for your sprint.

  • Select your country from an autocomplete list.

  • Instantly see the total working days, with weekends and public holidays automatically deducted!

It's a simple utility designed to make one part of the planning process just a little bit easier.

👋 New: The "Poke" Feature!

To add a bit more fun and interaction (and to gently nudge that one teammate who's not paying attention 😉), you can now poke other players!

When you click the "Poke" button on a teammate's card, a random emoji (like 🍌, 💣, or 🥊) will fly across the screen for everyone in the session to see.

I'm continuing to work on making Planning Bear the most fun and simple planning poker tool out there. Your feedback has been invaluable, so please keep it coming!
