Plainify generates structured specification files for AI coding assistants like Claude Code, Cursor, v0, and Bolt. Powered by Claude's Haiku 3.5 and 4.5 models, it turns your input into detailed, AI-ready spec files. Use Relax Mode to describe your idea in one sentence and let AI handle the rest, or take full control with Custom Mode to build your spec section by section. Free to use. Built on an open-source spec format.

Hey Product Hunters! 👋
I've been building apps with AI coding assistants for a while now, and I kept hitting the same wall: I'd have a crystal-clear product idea in my head, but the moment I tried to explain it to AI, everything would blur. Where do I start? Design? Features? Tech stack? I'd always forget something critical.
So I built Plainify. You describe your product idea, even in a single sentence, and it generates a complete, structured specification file that AI coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, v0, and Bolt can actually understand.
👉 Relax Mode is the fastest way to go from a rough idea to a structured, AI-ready document. All you need is a single sentence describing your product idea, and Plainify takes it from there, generating a full, detailed specification file covering everything from features and tech stack to design direction and user flows.
👉 Custom Mode is for when you already have a clear vision and want full control. You build your spec section by section, choosing what to include, editing as you go, and shaping every detail yourself. Every section is in your hands.
It's free, runs entirely in your browser. No accounts, no data collection, your ideas never leave your device. Built on an open-source spec format.
I'd love to hear your feedback!
Congrats @selfishprimate Clean concept that solves a real pain point. Anyone who's tried to prompt AI coding tools with a half-baked idea knows how much context gets lost in translation. Plainify seems, it bridges that gap nicely, especially Relax Mode for early-stage ideation. The browser-only, no-account approach is a smart trust signal. Would love to see support for iterative spec refinement and version history down the line. Solid v1, keep shipping

@efedemirbagefe Thanks so much! You nailed it, that "lost in translation" moment is exactly what pushed me to build this. And yes, Relax Mode was born out of that early-stage chaos where you have a clear vision but no idea where to start explaining it. Appreciate the feedback, means a lot! 🙏
