Offline image search and photo manager. With OCR text recognition and AI-powered visual and similar picture search you can find meme, screenshot, family photo, receipt or that from three years ago without remembering the filename.

Hey Product Hunt!
I'm Alex, developer of PixFinder, a free, native Windows application for AI-powered image search and photo management.
It all started with memes
More then 30 000 of them in a saved folder on my PC. Finding the perfect one during a conversation... ok, that is hard. And online search doesn’t always help, because some of them are dank enough.
So, I developed a tool that lets me search images by simply describing what's in them. Then I shared it with some friends. Their feedback and ideas pushed me to keep adding features. So, what started as a personal meme search tool went far beyond that and evolved into PixFinder - a full AI-powered photo manager.
Here's what it can do today:
Find images using natural language. Describe what you're searching, like "woman yelling at cat", "sunset over the ocean", or "dog wearing sunglasses". No filenames or tags needed.
Find text inside images. Built-in OCR helps to find screenshots, error messages, receipts, and anything else containing text.
Find similar images. Choose any to find visually similar pictures, alternate versions or somehow related photos.
Huge collections are not a problem. I have a user with 2 million photos. Search takes around three seconds on a regular laptop. Folders with thousands of images are not a problem as well. Application is windows native, so scrolling is amazingly fast and memory consumption is low.
Search in multiple languages. Underlaying model supports 100+ languages, and OCR works with all languages installed on your system.
Private and completely offline. Powered by the SigLIP2 vision-language model, all processing happens locally. Your photos never need to leave your PC.
Think Google Photos-style search, but for images on your own computer. Without any cloud.
I'd love to hear what you think! I'm especially curious what you'd use it for. Like finding old screenshots, organizing photos, searching memes or something I haven't even thought of yet.
Thanks for checking it out!
