Hi, I'm Nir, a frontend developer, and I created Pitkiyot, a social word-guessing game for 4+ players. Create a game, share the link, and let everyone add words—then guess in three fun rounds: Describe it, One-word clues, and Charades mayhem! Perfect for friends, family, and team-building.

Just tried Pitkiyot and it's an absolute blast! It's a perfect mix of creativity and fun, making it a hit for any group gathering. The three rounds—Describe it, One-word clues, and Charades—keep the game exciting and unpredictable. It's super easy to set up, just create a game, share the link, and you're ready to go. Whether you're with friends, family, or coworkers, Pitkiyot is a fantastic way to bond and have a great time together. Highly recommend it for your next game night or team-building event! 🎉

I like the concept overall especially the multiple modes of play. Gameplay is where I think things could be a little clearer. Maybe add more instructions on the admin side (I used my desktop for admin and phone for mobile)...the phone didn't update when the session was done for instance...I would expect to see SOMETHING when the game is in progress and when it ends. Also, you might want to just inject some random non-user generated words since this makes it kind of moot on subsequent rounds.

@benjamin_boehlke thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it! It sounds like you interacted with the game using both a desktop for admin tasks and a phone for playing, which is a bit different from the intended setup. Typically, one phone acts as the admin device to create the game and share the join link. Everyone then uses their phones to add words to the bank. Once the admin feels enough words are added, they start the game, and the players pass the admin device around during their turns. Currently, we don't have real-time updates for the word bank, but the admin can refresh manually. Since the game is usually played with everyone in the same place, the admin can announce when it's time to start. As for using the same words in subsequent rounds, it's designed this way to balance the difficulty and fun. Describing the word in the first round is usually easier, but giving one-word clues or pantomiming in the later rounds can be challenging. Reusing the same words helps players recall them from the first round, making it more enjoyable and creative. Thanks again for your insights, and I hope this clarifies how the game is intended to be played!
