genuine question for the PH community how much does email personalization actually matter for cold outreach?

built PitchLab after spending months cold emailing research professors as a pre-med student and getting basically nothing back. realized pretty quickly that sending the same email to 50 people with just the name swapped out was why nobody was responding.
