I built PitchGrid because I was trying to help my daughter improve her softball pitching and batting—but I kept running into the same problem: we’d go to lessons, she’d work hard, and then when we got home, we couldn’t tell if she was actually doing the drills the right way. I wanted a simple tool that let me line up two videos side-by-side—her vs. her coach, or her vs. her past self—and sync them to the same moment (like ball release or bat contact). Just being able to see those differences clearly changed everything for us. What makes PitchGrid unique is that it’s: • Designed for parents, players, and coaches—not just analysts • Built for mobile, free to use, and easy to pick up • Focused on repeatable drills and skill development—not general highlight reels or AI analysis I use it several times a day myself, and that’s what I’m most proud of: I didn’t build this to check a box—I built it to actually use. Every feature came from real frustrations. Every update fixed something I personally hit. Now that it’s live, I’m excited (and a little nervous!) to see if it can help other families and teams the way it helped mine.
