This is another great idea Ryan! Founders struggle through pitching Angel and VC funds let alone finding the right ones.
Pitchfire
@jasonhowie thanks Jason. Yeah I was sick of my big spreadsheet I kept.
How does Pitchfire decide which VCs are the best match for a startup?
Pitchfire
@david_turner12 so we look at their existing portfolio, criteria on the website, thesis, and reactions to previous startups we’ve sent to them.
I’m still at a very early stage building and experimenting with a few different products across areas like events, communities, edtech and B2B. Finding the right investors for each idea can probably become a pretty time-consuming part of the journey. Pitchfire looks like it could save me a lot of that time by helping find investors who are actually relevant to what I’m building. I’ll definitely keep this in mind as I get further along.
Great work @ryohara and team. Tons of best wishes ahead :)

@whatshivamdo Thank you! Yeah wanted to make it very easy and almost automatic. Excited to help founders get some meetings.

Love this, Ryan! It is SO hard finding investors who are the right fit. Then getting the intros + figuring out how to get in front of them is sooooooo much work. Congrats to you and the team on the launch!
Pitchfire
@scotcha1 thanks Scott! love Zight...use it every day.

As a founder, my hesitation with any "AI-matched intro" tool is the investor side of the equation - VCs already get flooded with cold decks, so what stops this from becoming just another inbox they learn to ignore? Is there anything that limits volume per investor or verifies the match quality before the intro goes out, versus just matching on stated thesis keywords?
Pitchfire
@galdayan the biggest issue is VCs get pitched by people who are irrelevant.
When they end up using Pitchfire on their side, our AI associates for them will automatically screen those applicants away.
There are many solo GP and smaller funders ready to write checks but don't have the marketing brand to drive inbound.

@ryohara That two-sided screening is the piece I was missing - makes sense if the AI associates are filtering on the investor's actual thesis rather than the founder just self-selecting. The solo GP point is a fair one too, that's a segment that genuinely can't afford a big BD function today. Good luck with the launch.
Hey Ryan. Last raise I saw was a giant spreadsheet of investors and cold emails that mostly went nowhere. Handing that grind off and aiming at the firms who'd care first sounds like a far kinder way to go.

@robin_de_lacroix thanks !! Make sure you still do the normal outreach stuff too. I view this more like a separate channel.
