I originally created PipSplit to split expenses with my housemate when the old spreadsheet method wasn't cutting it anymore. I also wanted a project that would let me keep up with the latest Angular updates. After a while, the app became polished enough that I decided to share it publicly and allow anyone to use it. Essentially, PipSplit is a simple and free but fully-featured expense-splitting app that allows you to create unlimited groups and expenses and easily track who owes what to whom, with full history tracking. You can even upload receipts and send payment request emails.
