I built Pinned by Friends because I wanted social media to feel more personal again. Most social apps are built around followers, feeds, likes, and posting for an audience. I wanted to try something different: a place where your friends actually help create your profile by pinning memories directly to your wall. The problem I wanted to solve was that so many great photos and moments end up buried in camera rolls, group chats, or disappearing into a feed. With Pinned by Friends, those moments can become part of a shared wall that grows over time. The idea evolved a lot while I was building it. It started as a simple wall for Polaroid-style photos, but as I worked on it I kept focusing more on the friendship side of the experience—making it less about broadcasting yourself and more about the memories you create with other people.
