Plug your laptop back in and your apps go back to their own screens. PinLayout pins apps to zones, keeps a layout for each monitor and reopens pinned apps in place after a restart. One account for Mac and Windows. 7-day free trial, no card needed.

Every time we came back from a meeting and plugged the laptop in, every window landed in a heap on one screen. Then came five minutes of dragging things back. Every day.
We’re Mac and San, and we built PinLayout to stop that.
You draw zones once, or pick a template, and pin each app to its zone. PinLayout keeps a layout for each monitor. Unplug, re-dock or restart, and your pinned apps go back where they belong. It runs on Mac and Windows with one account.
If you would rather not draw zones yourself, an optional AI suggestion looks at your monitors and open apps and proposes a layout. It only runs when you click it.
Honest limits, before you find them: full-screen windows cannot be moved by any window manager on macOS, and some Electron apps only expose one window.
There’s a 7-day free trial at pinlayout.com, no card needed.
One question for you: what’s the first window you drag back after plugging in?
