I'd like to present Picabo - a side project I've been working on recently.
Maybe you know the feeling of going on a trip and taking dozens of pictures, and then having the internal debates about which one to use for your social media post, or maybe even as your new profile picture, so I decided to make a simple app that tries to facilitate this life essential decisions by crowdsourcing opinions.
You just need to create an account, and then you can create an "experiment" by providing two pictures and an optional prompt. Voting is also meant to be as simple as possible - you are presented with two pictures and you tap on which one you like better.
For now, I'm trying it without adding much incentive to vote and hoping people still do it, but in the future there might be a need for a "karma" mechanic where you need to vote on others, in order to get votes on your experiments.
I know some other photo rating apps exist, but they usually focus on rating a single picture between 1-10, which personally makes me uncomfortable as I wouldn't want an attractiveness score, but just to know which picture I should use.
