I kept running into the same problem. You find a service, its landing page says everything is wonderful, and there is nowhere honest to check what real users actually think. Review sites tend to either sell placement or let owners quietly bury criticism. Phyco does two things differently. Reviews are tied to verified users, and site owners can prove ownership through a meta tag or a DNS record and then reply publicly to any review. They cannot delete criticism, only answer it in the open. There are around 107 sites in 16 categories so far, from developer tools to finance and travel. Listing a site is free, needs no account, and every submission is checked by a human before it goes live.
