Hi everyone - I'm Jong Woo Kim, the developer of PhotoSpec Passport. I built it after seeing people get photos rejected for reasons nobody had told them: the head sat a few millimetres too high, the file was over the size limit, the dimensions were right for one country but not the one they were applying to. So we spent a long time reading the actual published requirements - government pages and other official sources - for 104 documents across 37 countries. Each value in the app shows where it came from and when we last checked it. Where an authority does not publish a value, we say so rather than assume one. The app helps you take the photo, not retouch it. Voice guidance tells you where to stand and the shot is taken at the right moment, then lighting, sharpness, expression, head position and background are checked against that document's rules. The face is not reshaped and the background is not replaced. Everything runs on the phone; the photo is not uploaded to our server. No ads, no subscription, no locked pro tier. Taking and checking photos is free - you pay only when you decide to save a finished one. Finished photos can be sent as a file, or laid out for printing at home on 4x6, Letter or A4. There is also a separate Pro Headshot mode for professional profile photos, and the app runs in 22 languages.
