I'm the solo dev behind PhotosMove.

The problem I kept hitting: my phone was full of 3 years of photos and videos, and every way to get them off was broken somehow.

Google Photos compresses.

USB/MTP chokes on 1600+ files and drops metadata.

Every "transfer" app wanted a client installed on my PC, an account, or a subscription.

So I built PhotosMove.

It's an Android app that runs a tiny local server on your phone, On the PC, you just open a browser, just like bellow:
1. Open the app → it shows a local address and a PIN.
2. On your PC, open that address in any browser and type the PIN (same Wi-Fi, or android's hotspot).
3. Click download all → one streaming ZIP download → verify it.

Nothing to install on the PC, No account, No cloud.

Why not Syncthing or Immich?

Love both — but they're sync / self-hosted gallery systems you set up and maintain.

PhotosMove is a one-shot migration tool: open, PIN, download, verified, done.

Different job.

This is my first launch here, and I'd genuinely love feedback — especially on the Android side (huge libraries, weird devices), the web UI, and whether the PIN flow feels trustworthy to you.

iOS is on the roadmap (iPhone → PC is the #1 request I hear).
