"Windowisp" Mode turns any v2 pet you create in Codex into a playable Windows desktop companion. Your pet can run across windows, double-jump, air-dash and battle little enemies. The first expansion, introducing the new Control Centre, Survival and Dodgeball game modes, desktop Sandbox building, toys, two-player support, editable controls, improved movement and physics, material platforms, and extensive interface refinements.

I was inspired the moment I saw the Pet available for codex sitting on my desktop. I knew the animations were already there for moving left and right and that other users would be able to make use of this. I plan to add more updates in the future but people will be inspired to do it themselves too! It turns personal AI artwork into something playable. Windowisp doesn’t give everyone the same mascot—it brings each user’s own Codex-created v2 pet onto their Windows desktop and builds a world.
The desktop becomes the game world. Instead of playing inside a conventional game window, pets run across real application windows, jump between edges, air-dash and battle enemies across the user’s workspace.
It completes a creative journey from imagination to interaction. Users can imagine a creature, create its animated artwork with AI, and then immediately experience that character as a moving companion.
Every player creates part of the experience. The plugin provides the platforming system, but the player supplies its star. Different pets make every installation feel personal and visually distinct.
It makes experimental AI creativity approachable and joyful. Pet Platform Mode transforms a complex combination of AI artwork, animation and desktop technology into a simple command and a playful result—demonstrating that AI can help people create, not merely consume.
Congrats on the launch—Pet Platform Mode looks really promising. Excited to see where it goes! 🚀
