Pendu actually started as chat.io a full messaging app with DMs, group chats, voice calls, video calls, group calls, and moderation tools. We built it because we wanted a clean, no-BS way to talk to people. But when we looked at it, something was missing. It had all the features, but no soul. No reason to open it. Then it clicked. I’m a Garena Free Fire player, and I was tired of solo-queuing into teams that don’t comm. Tired of joining huge servers just to find one person to run a match with. So we asked: what if the app was built around finding your squad instead of managing channels? That’s Pendu. Voice-only party rooms for gamers. Public rooms to pick up teammates. Private rooms for your crew. Built mobile-first, with age verification so things don’t get weird. We’re two solo full-stacks who probably planned way too much.
