Peeky is a free lightweight macOS menu bar app that reminds you to take screen breaks. Two eyes follow your cursor and evolve throughout the day: they get bloodshot after long work sessions (based on INRS guidelines) and grow sleepy at night. Features include adjustable sizes, custom iris colors, and Silly Modes.
Hi everyone,
I’d like to share Peeky, a small macOS app I built that sits discretely in your menu bar.
The concept is simple: two little eyes follow your cursor around the screen. Throughout the day, they act as a visual cue to remind you to take a break:
Fatigue Mode: the eyes gradually get bloodshot based on your continuous screen time—following official health & safety guidelines (INRS)—to signal when it’s time to step away.
Night Rhythm: the eyelids grow heavy and gently close as the evening progresses.
Customization: adjustable eye and iris size, multiple iris colors, and extra Silly Modes.
