Hey! Open source is always a good thing. But it is not quite clear how you differ from other such apps?
Alin Lupascu
@bpolyak Thanks for checking it out. This has been a learning project for me. It’s fully Swift native, modern UI and as it’s open source has a focus on transparency/privacy. For example other free apps that aren’t open source, you don’t fully know what they’re doing in the background.

Is this like CleanMyMac but free then?
Alin Lupascu
@jsteneros I would say more like AppCleaner. I believe CleanMyMac has a few other features. But yes, free.

Hey! Love your launch on PH today 🔥 I sent it to my team as well and we gave you a dozen votes and a few comments to Pearcleaner❤️ By the way, I launched my own product (WorkTrek). Support me then?
Alin Lupascu
@dario_soric Thank you! I voted on your product as well.

Oh my god, is Pearcleaner really going to let me clean my MacBook the way it deserves? I adore my MacBook, but its storage system can be a real headache. Just when you think you've tidied up every folder and partition, there's still a mountain of files hiding out in digital limbo, impossible to track down.
Alin Lupascu
@anastasia_chakileva_ I would really hope so 😂 there’s definitely a bunch of leftover files all the time.
