The side-card layout is honestly such a simple fix for something that's bugged me forever — way easier to read than random highlight boxes. Tried it on a contract and the AI review was genuinely useful, not just generic fluff.

Speaking of contracts — since you're using it to annotate them, you should know we now also support full contract review. We've built coverage across tens of thousands of regulations spanning China, the EU, and the US, so it can flag clauses that may violate relevant laws in those jurisdictions. Worth a try on the same doc.
We've also been expanding the core PDF tooling and AI review lately — longer docs, more contract-specific suggestions, and better annotation flows. If you've got more PDFs to throw at it, we'd love the continued feedback.

Big update since our launch — here's what's new 🚀
When we first launched on PH, PDFnoted was mostly basic PDF tools (merge, split, convert), annotation, and a simple AI helper. A lot has changed since then — here's the rundown:
🧰 Toolbox grew from a handful of tools to 23
Beyond the basics, we've added OCR (scan to searchable PDF), Bates numbering for legal docs, PDF diff/compare for contract revisions, AI smart redaction (auto-mask IDs, phone numbers, emails), e-signature, PDF-to-Markdown, and a whole lot more. Everything runs locally in your browser — zero file uploads.
✍️ Full WYSIWYG editor, not just annotation
You can now click any text in a PDF and edit it directly. Insert images, add new text blocks, or use AI to polish, proofread, and translate — all in-browser, WYSIWYG.
⚖️ Compliance Workbench — the biggest one
This is brand new. We've built an AI compliance review engine that cross-checks your contracts against 174 regulations across 11 industries, covering China, the EU, and the US. Upload a contract and it flags clauses that may violate relevant laws. It's the feature we're most excited about.
