Handwritten notes on scanned pages would be a huge win. Most of my PDFs are old lecture handouts with a mix of typed and handwritten content, and right now the handwritten parts come back as gibberish. Adding a dedicated handwriting recognition mode, or at least letting users toggle between printed and handwritten models, would make this tool stand out from the other free OCR sites I have tried.
Ran a scanned contract through it and the text came out clean enough to copy straight into a doc, nothing left behind. Love that it actually runs in the browser with no uploads, that part matters for sensitive files.
