Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built PayGate because charging for an API still feels stuck in 2015 — Stripe + API keys + invoices + chargebacks. Meanwhile AI agents are hitting APIs millions of times a day and have no way to actually *pay* for them. x402 gave us the missing primitive: client gets a 402, signs a stablecoin proof, retries, and pays per call. No accounts, no keys, no middleman holding funds — settlements go straight to the publisher's wallet. What we added on top of x402 is flexibility. Most implementations out there only do per-call. PayGate ships four billing modes: • per-call — classic x402, best for agents • prepaid balance — top up once, burn down per request • prepaid call packs — buy N calls upfront (great for LLM endpoints) • time-pass — daily/monthly access, no per-call gas overhead The full stack is open: protocol → publisher SDKs (Express, Hono, Next.js) → client fetch.
