PawPet

Hi Product Hunt! When I was younger, I loved things like Neopets, Gaia Online, and Maple Story. The customization, creativity, and exploration aspects gave me a sense of wonder and were just super fun for me. Then during my early 20s, I came to love journaling. It helped me process a lot of turbulent emotions as well as remember the small, important moments that made me happy day-to-day. The problem was actually being consistent with it. So, I thought "Hey, I'd like to make something to help with that." and tried to combine these things I loved — Essentially, it's pixel art Neopets that gamifies journaling. My goal is to build a fun environment that is similar to the online experiences I had when I was younger. As well as make it a safe space where others can share their thoughts and memories with no fear of judgment (PawPets are good listeners 😊). It would mean so much to me if you tried it out and gave feedback! Please help me with the myriad of directions this community could grow to be.

Congratulations on the launch! The artwork is fantastic 🙌 I love this gamified approach. It reminds me a lot of Duolingo and how it helps users stay consistent with their goals. This is a great idea to bring into the journaling space! Hoping the best for this product!!

Congratulations on the launch! I absolutely adore the aesthetic of the site — I have the same nostalgia for Neopets and MapleStory, and I love that you've recreated that feel. I've journaled on and off over the years and always found it difficult to keep up the habit, and I think it's brilliant to apply healthy gamification techniques to help people stay more consistent. It feels like my PawPet is growing alongside me as I journal more and share thoughts, anxieties, and worries with it! There's also so much more to the world than I expected, and I can't wait to explore everything you've built! 🙌
