Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Metehan, the solo developer behind Paw Clicker.
I built Paw Clicker around a simple observation: dog training depends on precise timing, but during a real session your hands are usually busy with a leash and treats. Reaching for a phone—or carrying another device—can get in the way. So I put the clicker on the wrist.
Paw Clicker turns your phone, Apple Watch, or Wear OS watch into a positive-reinforcement training tool, with session tracking and 34 step-by-step guides.
A few decisions were especially important to me:
🐾 No account or sign-up
🔒 Your training data stays on your device
⌚ Apple Watch + Wear OS support
💰 No subscription—the core clicker is free, with a $9.99 lifetime unlock for everything else
Our first paying user purchased the lifetime unlock just four minutes after opening the app. It’s a tiny sample size, but an encouraging sign that people may prefer owning a focused tool over adding another subscription.
Paw Clicker is available now on the App Store and Google Play.
The question I’d most value your honest feedback on: does a clicker on your wrist solve a real training friction, or do you see more value in the progress tracking and guides?
I’m also happy to answer anything about building phone + smartwatch companion apps as a solo developer. Thanks for checking it out! 🐾

One thing that would make this way more useful for me is a customizable click sound option on the watch itself, something louder or different from the default. Training near traffic or in a busy park, the standard click sometimes gets lost and my dog doesn't hear it in time. Maybe even let us record our own click tone from the phone and sync it over.

@xeno_miao Love this idea. The busy park example makes total sense. I’m going to work on louder click options for the Watch and a way to record your own sound on the phone. I’ll try to get both into the next update. Thanks for suggesting this!

Finally found a use for my Apple Watch that's actually practical. The click response feels instant on my wrist and the session tracking makes it easy to see what actually worked with my pup.
