How does Pathwisse actually measure "employability outcomes" — is that based on self-reported data from students, or do you pull in signals from things like LinkedIn or university career services records?

Great question. Pathwisse does not rely only on student self-reported data.
We measure employability using a combination of:
Skill and aptitude assessment performance
Projects completed and AI/faculty evaluations
Communication and interview-practice results
Career-roadmap progress and learning consistency
Academic and placement records provided by the institution
Interviews, offers, and placement outcomes recorded by the college’s placement team
Self-reported information is used only as a supporting layer. LinkedIn and other external career-service integrations are part of our planned data ecosystem.
Our goal is to track both leading indicators, such as job readiness and skill gaps, and actual outcomes, such as interviews, offers, and placements, with evidence behind every score.
Curious how this handles students who transfer between majors or institutions, does the pathway data carry over or does it reset for each new enrollment?

Great question. We treat the student’s progress as a portable learning record, not something that should disappear after every change.
When a student changes majors, completed skills, projects, assessments, and evidence are retained. Pathwisse then remaps that history against the new pathway, carries forward relevant competencies, and highlights only the new gaps.
For transfers between institutions, the same principle applies, but institution-specific academic records must be verified and mapped to the new college’s curriculum and policies. Cross-institution portability is part of our roadmap, with student consent and institutional data controls built in.

Most career guidance stops at “you should learn this.” Pathwisse turns that into a visible sequence of skills, projects, assessments, and next actions, so students always know what to do next and institutions can see where support is needed.
Finally something for universities that tracks outcomes instead of just collecting student surveys. The pathway view made it easy to see where students actually get stuck.

Surveys capture perception, but Pathwisse captures behaviour: progress, assessment performance, project completion, missed milestones, and where students repeatedly slow down.
The pathway view helps institutions move from delayed reporting to early intervention, so they can support students before a small gap becomes a placement problem.
