Hello Product Hunters! Stelios, Pastery co-creator here! Pastery is a pastebin with an emphasis on usability. It's simple to use, beautiful and comes with a full-featured API. Paste your code or documents (in Markdown or Textile) and share beautifully-formatted versions with anyone. There's no paste list, so you can be sure that nobody other than the people you share it with will see the paste, and pastes have short expiration dates by default. With plugins for various popular editors, you can select text and upload it to Pastery with one keypress.

Have you thought about adding "X number of opens" as an expire type? I've always liked having the option to send someone a link that can only be viewed once (sensitive data, etc.)

@amyers We have, but that's a rather different use case from "share a piece of code with people". I'm not sure how viewing it once will help, as a malicious recipient can just clone it to a new paste. Only the person with the link can view it anyway, so it's not too different to setting a moderate expiration date.

@stavros They could, but they would have to have malicious intend from the start and not reference the link from a past e-mail. Though, say an expiration of a day would probably work but just a thought - I've enjoyed using this before in other apps. Either way, great product. :)

@amyers Thank you! We'll keep it in mind and see, I definitely think it's a nice feature to have. I just think it would confuse the current UI a bit, but it's worth keeping in mind for a later version.
