Hey, congrats on the new launch.
A little concerning that the search function *still* seems to be broken on Mac which it has been since I reported it (checks email) 3 months ago. To the day in fact....
With search, Paste was *this* close to being a total replacement for TextExpander for me, but without it, the utility has dropped considerably for me. The core is still great, but this seems like a pretty fundamental thing that should work.
Hands down one of my most used Mac tools. The latest update has been quite buggy for me though, so hopefully it will be updated soon. My paste stack isn't working properly (pasted items don't drop off, leaving the entire paste stack up until I manually close it) and pastes are not plain text, even though I have "Always paste as Plain Test" selected in the settings. Tried restarting the app, deleting and reinstalling, and restarting my Mac, but the problem remains.
I write help centre guides for a software company. Our articles are available in ten different languages, and we use DeepL for some of the localisation work. That means there is a LOT of copying and pasting, which is much smoother with Paste. I've especially found Paste Stack (activate with Shift + Command + C) to be handy for copying text, images, and links from different pages into Intercom (where the articles are stored). Because it's so affordable (and useful), I've recommended Paste to multiple colleagues. My advice has been "It's so cheap, just charge it to your company credit card. It'll save you a decent amount of time and your finance team won't even notice". So far, so good!
I recommend this to all my clients and anyone who wants to save time and make more money (because time is money in our work world). This is something I use every day, many times a day. The "paste stack" feature alone is worth the purchase. But there is so much more to love about this app. I've been a user for more than 5 years and this is on my 'can't live without' list! I'm SO grateful for this app!!
I've tried out Paste and found it overkill for my needs in terms of the UI. The bottom of the screen interface is large and obtrusive and on a large screen like mine makes it difficult to navigate. I've used Clipy for a long time and really love the simplicity of the UI. Would love to see an option for having just a list rather than the large blocks and the ability to have it appear at the top of the screen. For other folks, it may be good, but for me, it just did not fit my workflow.
I switched from Copied to Paste a few years ago, in the paid version, and I couldn't be happier. I find it to be an incredibly simple app to use, but at the same time an app that can simplify your relationship with copy and paste. Productivity benefits incredibly from it. That's why I recommend it to everyone.
Paste just saves your entire clipboard visually. It's easy to find and retrieve old clipboard items. I haven't even tried to dig into its deeper folder/group features which look great, because its basic function is game-changing enough for me, and I use it all the time, it's one of my three: "install immediately on a new Mac" applications.
