👋 Hi everyone! I’m Yaroslav, the creator of PasswordSplit.com.
The idea came from a very real anxiety of mine: what if I lose my most important master password for Bitwarden or recovery phrase for crypto wallets?
Back in university, during a cryptography course, I discovered Shamir’s Secret Sharing scheme - and I was amazed. It lets you split a secret into multiple parts that can only be reconstructed if you gather a required threshold of them. It immediately clicked for me: this could be used to keep passwords much safer!
Fast‑forward 10 years later, that spark finally turned into PasswordSplit.com. My goal is to make this powerful cryptographic concept accessible through a simple and friendly experience - allowing anyone to split and reconstruct passwords securely, end‑to‑end, using trusted and well‑audited crypto primitives.
