We don’t track our users in detail however we do know recruiters from Apple, Amazon, NerdWallet, Mighty, and Thrive Global have told us that they are using Parachute! Over 2,700 people have searched for talent on the site so far, most are likely recruiters or hiring managers. Let us know if you have any other questions :)

Hey, I'm Arjun — the co-founder of Rocket. It has been heartbreaking seeing so many talented folks being laid off and losing their livelihoods recently. As a team at Rocket, an AI enhanced recruiting agency, we saw this impact firsthand. How are you protecting the PII (personally identifiable info) of the people on the list? With all the email addresses so publicly shared, I'd be concerned about making these job seekers an easy target for spammers & scammers.

@eva_nazarewicz Thank you for the important question. We share the email address of the impacted candidates [that they themselves have volunteered] to make it easy for recruiters and hiring managers to reach out to the candidates quickly! We considered only allowing recruiters and hiring managers to access the LinkedIn profile and using LinkedIn Inmails or other 3rd party services from there to reach out to the candidates but our conversations with recruiters led us to believe that there was real friction in doing so (for example, LinkedIn Inmails are pretty expensive and finding personal emails is a challenge). Our conversations with many impacted candidates led us to believe that this is a reasonable use case for the moment since the potential positive impact (get a new role quickly) outweighs the very real downside of sharing the email address. If we see potential abuse of the platform, we can add a signup flow before being able to access the email addresses.
