Document apps fall into two camps. Scanners turn paper into a PDF. Note apps give you somewhere to dump it. Either way, sorting and deadlines are still on you. Papiria does the whole workflow. Scan or import a document and it extracts the details, files the PDF into your own Google Drive, and reminds you before anything's due. What sets it apart: it names and sorts documents automatically, tracks deadlines on its own, and stays searchable down to the words inside each file.
Finally scanned a stack of old bills and it just filed everything into Drive with names that actually made sense. The deadline reminders for utilities alone have saved me from late fees twice already.
