I'll be honest about why we built this โ I watched a teacher in my family spend an entire weekend checking 80 answer sheets. Same question. Same marking scheme. Eighty times. And I thought: this person should be teaching, not doing this.
Then I thought about the student side. Every one of those 80 students gets their paper back three weeks later with a number on it and zero explanation of what they got wrong. No feedback. No guidance. Just move on to the next exam and repeat the same mistakes.
PaperGrader fixes both sides of that equation. Teachers review AI suggestions in a fraction of the time โ and always have the final say. Students get written feedback on every answer, automatically, the moment results are published. Something no Indian college currently does at scale.
We're live in our first institution, three more are onboarding, and we're expanding across Telangana right now.
A few things I'd genuinely love your feedback on:
โ We're doing the first year free so colleges can see it work before they pay. Does that GTM make sense to you or does free signal the wrong thing?
โ Our biggest operational challenge is the scanning workflow. Curious if anyone here has cracked a similar "last mile" ops problem in EdTech or any other sector.
Ask me anything โ about the product, the Indian university market, how AI grading actually works under the hood, anything. I'm here all day.
Let's fix how 100 crore answer sheets get evaluated every year in India. ๐ฎ๐ณ
How do you handle messy handwriting and diagrams, does it flag low confidence answers for human review?

@manal_essalek1ย the real IP is in our pre and post-processing pipelines which are patent filed so can't share details just yet. It handles messy handwriting, complex tables, and basic architectural diagrams really well it's specifically designed for university exam papers, primarily CSE. Evaluation for complex biological and chemistry diagrams is currently in progress. And yes, low-confidence answers are flagged for human review ,the examiner always has the final call.
