Put one color into Palette. Get back an entire UI-ready color system with accents, neutrals, utilities. Every color gets its own perfectly calibrated 13-tone ramp, WCAG and APCA are built in by construction. Pro users unlock full customization, exporting, and saving history. Built on new patent-pending tech. I didn't take public tools and rewrap them. I built an entirely new color engine that solves these problems differently - based in the best perceptual color science.
I was inspired to build this because of AI slop design. That led me down the path of why computers didn't 'see' color the way that humans did - and the lack of a common language between perceptual, display, and print color spaces (there was no Unicode for color).
That led me to inventing and patenting ART, a new color language, and Orchestra, the engine that runs it.
Palette is the first product built on this tech, and it solves problems I faced as a designer for the last 30 years:
- Colors that shift when you make them lighter or darker
- The RGB color wheel tells you colors should look good together but don't
- Printed colors never match their digital counterparts
- Accessibility required tedious math and was never just baked in
- Generated color ramps cut off near black and never provided the shades I needed
