Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Palet because every "palette generator" stops at five hex codes — but shipping a real UI needs a system: ramps, semantic tokens, dark mode, contrast that passes, exports that drop into your stack.
So Palet does the whole journey:
• Spacebar → a harmonious palette (real color theory, not random)
• Drop an image → an on-brand palette, extracted in your browser (nothing uploaded)
• Describe your brand in plain words → a palette + rationale
• One click → 50→950 ramps, semantic tokens, a live UI preview, and exports to CSS / Tailwind / DTCG / Figma / `.ase`
• OKLCH + APCA under the hood for perceptually-even ramps and modern contrast
Good News is Palet is totally free — you just sign in with Google or an email link, which is how your palettes save and sync across devices.
I'd love your feedback, especially: what would make it part of your actual workflow? I'm here all day. 🎨

The contrast checker feels really considered, especially how it surfaces pass/fail ratios right next to the swatches instead of burying them in a separate tab. Makes the whole tool feel like it was built by people who actually ship interfaces.

@grkemtrkanhxfk Thank you so much, we definitely considered a lot of things while building this. The goal is to have a premium tool while keeping it totally free for creatives.

Love that it spits out ready-to-use Tailwind tokens, not just hex codes. That little bridge from inspiration to implementation is exactly what design tools usually skip.

Love how clean the export options are — being able to grab Tailwind tokens and CSS variables from the same panel without a bunch of extra clicks is such a thoughtful touch.
