Monitor any website with AI. Describe what you're looking for in plain English — get notified instantly when it appears. Track prices, stock availability, new listings, and more.
Hey Product Hunt. I'm James, and I built PageAlert because I was tired of manually refreshing websites to check if something changed.
I wanted to track refurbished MacBooks on Apple's site, but every monitoring tool I tried needed CSS selectors and they'd break the moment the page layout changed.
So I built PageAlert. You paste a URL, describe what you're looking for in plain English (like "MacBook Pro M3 under $1500"), and AI handles the rest. It extracts the data, understands the page, and emails you when your conditions are met.
Some things people are using it for:
- Price drop alerts on any store
- Restock notifications (sneakers, consoles, etc.)
- New job listings matching specific criteria
- Real estate listings in a target area
It's completely open source (MIT) — you can check out the full codebase on GitHub.
The stack: Next.js, Convex, Playwright, Claude AI, and Polar for billing. Free tier includes 3 monitors with no credit card required.
I'd like to hear what you'd monitor with it — and happy to answer any questions about the build. Thank you
