Hey everyone - I’m the maker of Package Alert.

I've spent years managing mixed Linux environments (RHEL, Ubuntu, Debian, etc.), and I was constantly juggling multiple security mailing lists just to keep up with CVEs. Even then, I'd still miss things until someone inevitably asked, "Is this CVE fixed yet?"

Package Alert came out of that frustration. It watches security advisories across major Linux distros and alerts you when patches are released - filtered by the distros, packages, CVEs, and severity levels you actually care about, so you don't drown in noise.

It supports RHEL, Alma, Rocky, Oracle, SUSE, Debian, and Ubuntu, and can send alerts to email, Slack, Teams, PagerDuty, Discord, webhooks, RSS, and more.

One feature I personally use a lot is the CVE Fix Tracker - you can drop in a CVE ID and instantly see whether it’s been fixed for specific distros, which has saved me a lot of back-and-forth with stakeholders.

Happy to answer any questions :)
