Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I built P2P HomeCam because I wanted a simple way to check on my dog when I’m away from home. I tried several pet and home camera apps, but I got tired of subscriptions and paid features for something I wanted to keep simple. I also had an old Android phone sitting around, so I thought: why not turn it into a home camera? That idea became P2P HomeCam. 📱🐶 One Android phone stays at home as the camera, and another becomes the viewer. Devices are paired using QR + PIN, video can connect directly via P2P, and recordings stay on the camera device rather than being uploaded to cloud storage. My goal was simple: reuse a phone you already own and make the core home/pet monitoring features available without a subscription. The app is free and supported by ads. I’m an indie developer and this is still an early version, so I’d really appreciate feedback — especially from pet owners. What feature would you most like to see added next? 🐾
