Hey Product Hunters! 👋 I’m Gilbert, founder and CEO of OxygenIT, and today I’m thrilled to introduce OxygenIT Essential—a tool built to help IT teams take control of their cloud’s environmental and financial impact. We created this because too many IT leaders told us the same thing: “We want to reduce our cloud footprint—but we have no idea where to start.” The tools out there were either made for ESG teams, too technical, or buried behind paywalls. So, we built a better way. OxygenIT Essential gives you: ✅ Instant connection and measurement of AWS, Azure, and GCP (IaaS & PaaS) ✅ Tracking of embodied carbon emissions, not just usage ✅ A simple, clear dashboard ✅ Visibility into your potential carbon reductions and cost savings OxygenIT Essential helps IT teams understand their real cloud footprint—and, more importantly, what they can do about it. 🌍 We believe IT teams should spend their time optimizing and delivering results, not building reports or struggling to gather data. How it works (yes, it’s that simple): Sign up Connect your read-only cloud credentials Get your performance overview in under 30 minutes Give it a try, and let us know what you think. We’re excited to hear your feedback and ideas! Thanks for checking us out 🙌 — Gilbert Founder & CEO @ OxygenIT

@kirk_gc Hey Gilbert, this is such a thoughtful and impactful product! Love how you’ve simplified something so technical and important for IT teams. The focus on both financial and environmental impact is super relevant right now, and the clean, no-fluff workflow you’ve designed is impressive. Definitely giving this a try — kudos to you and the team for building something so purposeful!

@divyansh_tiwari7 Thanks so much 🙏 That means a lot. We really wanted to take something that’s usually buried in complexity and make it actually usable for IT teams—no fluff, no waiting weeks for reports, just clarity and action.

Balancing cost and carbon impact felt like the missing piece in most tools out there. Glad it resonates with you!

Would love to hear your thoughts once you’ve had a chance to try it. And if there’s anything we can improve or add, we’re all ears.

Really like the clarity of this offer. One question: how do you account for multi-region redundancy in your carbon tracking? That’s often where the hidden impact lives.

Gilbert Cabillic

@shreyans_assistiv Thanks a lot for the kind words—and great question.

Yes, we do account for redundancy in our carbon tracking. That includes services like Azure’s storage and volume replication, Azure MySQL Flexible Server with zone-redundancy, AWS S3 storage classes, and more.

All these redundancy-related impacts are factored into our calculations to provide a more accurate picture of your actual footprint. It’s a key area where hidden emissions can live, so we make sure it’s not overlooked.

Appreciate the thoughtful question—always happy to dive deeper if you're curious!
