I was affected by IR35 in the UK and stood to lose 40% of my income. As a genuine business owner, relying on freelancing, I found this unfair. So I studied the economics behind the government's decision behind AB5 / IR35 and wrote about it or other freelancers. We realised we could collaborate and ended up becoming suppliers for the organisation who we were originally contracting for. Every freelancer can collaborate and become suppliers, accessing larger value contracts, employing their own staff and making more money than being freelancers.
