@_jacksmith: thanks for the heads up, just signed up to understand the product better.
At first glance it appears as though they're trying to be a "I use my gmail to track competitors email" alternative. They're doing a few things with their onboarding flow that I like a lot :)
The way I see it, MailCharts gives you much deeper insights and understanding v.s. Owletter. Here's a few concrete examples:
- With MailCharts you can see what % of emails are mobile-optimized for any given industry. You can also preview an individual company's mobile optimized emails
- MailCharts gives you access to industry trends (v.s. the few companies you might have decided to track). Understanding the bigger picture is extremely useful
- If we already have the company in our system, you get access to historical data (for the last 30-days). We're now at 800+ companies in MailCharts.
I do think Owletter can be a useful tool, but I also believe that MailCharts gives you deeper insights and access to things you couldn't do with a simple gmail signup.
Let me know if you have any questions or feedback :)
