Overwrite helps developers, designers, product teams, and coding agents turn rendered web page copy edits into structured JSON patch records. Turn editing on from the extension popup, click rendered text on the current page, edit it in a focused overlay, then export JSON describing each change from "text before" to "text after." Optional export fields add substring patch data, element selectors, and more.
I got tired of Codex and Claude writing sub par user-facing prose. Em dashes, cliche phrasing, overused words. Sometimes your content needs a touch of human editing. That's exactly what I built Overwrite for. Easy, in place editing for your site's content, with one-click diff exporting so you can tell your AI agent what to change.
And overtime, you'll accumulate changes that show how you like text to be written. You can fine tune your models, or add to your agents.md to make Codex and Claude prose better with examples.
I've built this extension to be chrome-native, lightweight, low-permission, and CPU + Memory footprint optimized.

This is cool for quickly making changes and then getting what I want back into Claude Code to make the changes. Makes the cycle of viewing/reviewing and then getting changes done much faster/ easier.
