I built Overland AI because I got tired of “planning trips” that all started to feel the same — Google Maps routes, top-10 lists, and places everyone already knows about. I wanted something different: a way to actually discover places again. Overland AI uses AI to generate real-world exploration experiences based on your location and preferences. Instead of just giving you directions, it creates small “adventures” — routes and ideas that encourage you to explore somewhere new, even if it’s just a few miles from where you are. It’s still early, and I’m actively improving how it generates routes and experiences, especially around making each journey feel more unique and less predictable. The goal isn’t to optimise travel — it’s to bring back curiosity.
