I kept running into the same leaderboard and every one works identically: pay more, rank higher. It doesn't mean anything about you.
So I kept the listing and deleted the auction.
$0 (Completely FREE) gets your product a permanent place on the board - name, link, category. It never expires and can't be taken away, even if you last nine seconds. That part is not a gamble.
Your position is the part money can't reach. A button appears at random intervals - 60 to 120 seconds apart at first, with 15 seconds to catch it. Survive an hour and it tightens to every 30s. Four hours in you're getting a 6-second window every 15 seconds. Miss one and the run ends instantly, no confirmation dialog.
A failed run can never lower a rank you already hold, so retries are $2 and risk nothing.
The result is a promo page where the top spot belongs to whoever wanted it most, not whoever spent most.
