After years of Internet providers making me spend countless hours trying to find and prove problems, I decided it was time to come up with something that gathered those facts automatically. I used it with our business and eventually decided to offer it to the public as a SaaS. Because monitoring such a service can be a highly technical task, the point was, and continues to be, to design in a way that allows just about anyone to use it. What ever is not understood, there are forums available to help all members. However, it also has enterprise capabilities for monitoring/managing any number of locations. We 'officially' launched in January but have had zero success finding that marketing sweet spot. All efforts to advertise have lead to being constantly outbid by large providers and outages sites that would probably prefer you not find services like ours since it makes them accountable. This project has taken several years of development, well over half a million lines of code and growing. We have one lead developer and several additional developers that we call on as needed.
