yeah this back and forth with chatgpt is real one. Curious to try it out. Can you choose a model inside or it uses one set by you?
@ilyaforfun Glad it resonates, that copy-paste loop is genuinely where most writing time disappears.
On the model question: right now it's set on our end, and intentionally so. We're actually running different models at different stages of the agent pipeline, the reasoning stage, the observation stage, and the final presentation pass each use whichever model performs best for that specific task, not just the most hyped one.
We're constantly testing and swapping models behind the scenes as better options emerge.
The reason we don't expose model selection to users is that people naturally gravitate toward whatever's newest or most talked about, but "best for general chat" and "best for structured document editing with tracked changes" are very different problems. We'd rather make that call ourselves and be accountable for the output quality than hand it to a dropdown.
Would love to hear what you think after trying it, especially if you have a specific writing workflow in mind. Agent Mode is the one to start with: write a few paragraphs, then prompt it like you'd brief an editor. 🙌
