Build Python applications with Orionis: Rust-powered HTTP, ASGI/RSGI, WebSockets, SSE, realtime hubs, async ORM, queues, cache and native MCP.

Hey Product Hunt! π
I'm excited to introduce Orionis Framework, an open-source, async-first Python framework designed to simplify how developers build modern applications.
π Why did I build Orionis?
While working with Python, I noticed that building a complete application often requires combining multiple libraries for dependency injection, database access, authentication, queues, caching, and real-time communication.
I wanted to explore a different approach: a cohesive, batteries-included framework where these pieces work together naturally.
π¦ What makes Orionis interesting?
β‘ Async-first Python architecture
π¦ Rust-powered HTTP serving with Granian (ASGI/RSGI)
ποΈ Built-in dependency injection and service providers
ποΈ Asynchronous ORM and migrations
π Authentication and authorization
π WebSockets, SSE, background jobs, and caching
π€ Native MCP server support for AI integrations
π Open source and community-driven
Orionis is still evolving, and feedback from developers is incredibly valuable.
I'd especially love to hear:
What features are missing from your favorite Python framework?
Would you use an integrated async-first framework?
What would you improve in Orionis?
