Hey Product Hunt! ๐
I built Oren because my "to read" pile kept growing while my "finished" pile stayed the same. Every reading app I tried was great at helping me collect books, and terrible at helping me actually read them.
So I flipped the idea. Oren isn't about cataloging your library. It's about building the habit of opening a book every single day.
A few things that make it different:
๐ Focused reading sessions with a built in timer, so Oren learns your pace automatically
๐ฅ Streaks that give you a reason to come back tomorrow
๐ง A calm, distraction free space with no social feeds, no noise, no vanity metrics
๐ Notes, highlights, goals, and progress all in one clean home screen
The whole philosophy is simple: less screen time, more pages read. Small sessions that compound into a real habit.
It's built with love by the team of 4 people and it's now available on the App Store.
I'd genuinely love your feedback, and I'm curious: what's the one book you keep meaning to finish but never do? ๐
Thanks for checking Oren out! ๐

honestly needed this. my nightstand has like 6 books with bookmarks stuck at page 20 lol
the daily streak idea is smart, that's the only thing that ever keeps me consistent with anything. and love that there's no feed to scroll, that's usually what kills my reading time anyway.
nice work, grabbing it now ๐
mine is Sapiens, been "almost done" for a year ๐

@sanjay_tomarย The nightstand pile of page-20 bookmarks is a universal problem ๐ Streaks are exactly the hook we leaned into, and cutting the feed was deliberate. Reading time shouldnโt compete with scrolling. Sapiens is a great one to finally close out. Thanks for grabbing it, hope Oren gets you to the last page ๐

ok this is so me lol. I buy way more books than I actually finish ๐
love that it's not just another app to make a big list. the timer + streaks thing sounds like it'd actually get me to sit down and read. and no social feed is honestly a relief. congrats on the launch! downloading it now ๐
the one I keep saying I'll finish? Atomic Habitsโฆ ironic I know ๐

@jay_nirmal31ย Ha, the book-buying-to-finishing ratio is real ๐ Thatโs exactly why we built Oren's timer + streaks to actually get you in the chair, no feed to distract you. And Atomic Habits is the perfect one to break the streak on. Thanks so much for the download and the kind words ๐

this is exactly the app I didn't know I needed ๐ my shelf is basically a graveyard of half-read books. the built-in timer + streaks combo is genius, that's the only thing that's ever kept me consistent. and zero social feed? instant yes, that's usually what eats my reading time. congrats on the launch, downloading now ๐
mine's Thinking, Fast and Slowโฆ been on chapter 3 since forever ๐

@bhavik_maradiya1ย Haha the โgraveyard of half-read booksโ got me ๐ thatโs honestly the exact shelf we built Oren for. So glad the timer + streaks combo clicks for you.
Thatโs the whole bet, small consistent sessions beat guilt-driven marathons every time. And yeah, no social feed was non-negotiable for us. Reading time is sacred ๐

If the philosophy is less screen time, does this means the app is not meant for people using eBook reader? ๐Anyway, I prefer eBook and I finished all the books I started so far, except Ulysses. That one is so difficult to read, but I will still not give up. Maybe this app will help.
