👋 Hi Product Hunt! I’m the maker of OptimalSwipe.

I built this because I wanted a way to optimize card rewards without sharing my financial data with anyone. Most “best card” apps require bank logins, central servers, or data collection tied to affiliate incentives. OptimalSwipe does the opposite, your cards and transactions live entirely in your private iCloud Drive, and all recommendations run locally using Smart built-in rules engine or Apple Shortcuts or both.

Shortcuts:

Use the Record payment automation + shortcut to capture Apple Pay transactions into the same private iCloud vault. It runs entirely on-device and just appends basic transaction details. Manual entries are supported too, especially on desktop.

You can trigger recommendations from the app screen (full view) or run the Shortcut directly for instant suggestions on iPhone. The Shortcut workflow is super convenient for Apple Pay, but manual transactions or running the Shortcut alone can be slightly less smooth. These are early tradeoffs to keep everything local and private.

This is an early release and intentionally opinionated and Apple-first. I’d love your feedback on:

  • Workflow clarity (desktop vs iPhone)

  • Shortcut usability

  • Any friction with manual entries

  • How useful the rule-based recommendations feel

Thanks for checking it out 🙏. Privacy, speed, and Apple-first automation drove every design decision here, and I’m excited to hear what you think!
